Bicho-pau-azul (Achrioptera fallax) nativo de Madagascar. Os machos chegam a medir 13 cm, têm uma cor profunda azul, com espinhos da cor laranja e são braquípteros (possuem asas vestigiais que não servem para voar), enquanto as fêmeas são maiores, medindo cerca de 18 cm e são amarronzadas. Se alimentam de folhas de algumas árvores, como Eucalipto e carvalho.
